Political Coordinating Committee
The Political Coordinating Committee is a state-wide team that believes it is time to leave the sidelines and take an active role to achieve a greater Anishinaabek voice in public office representation. The group is organized and in the process of
planning, organizing, and analyzing the political landscape across Michigan – from local library boards to Congressional representatives
identifying, researching, and assessing candidates for office and their understanding of the issues and concerns of Anishinaabek people
developing strategies and reaching out to educate and assist citizens in making their voices heard, beginning with registering to vote
establishing relationships with Michigan tribes and with other Democratic entities
We invite people with an interest in any of these activities to join us in this work to promote Anishinaabek values and interests. If you're interested in this committee or are a candidate seeking endorsement please contact: MACDP-political@anishinaabekcaucus.org. Experience in the political arena is not required. Sharing a few hours a week, or month of your valuable time will be much appreciated.
